Course abstract
The student produces a course paper that demonstrates the student’s ability to apply the acquired theoretical knowledge in practice. The student builds up an understanding of business analysis and development planning as well as practical skills in making an economic theoretical framework for business development and applying research methods.

Course Content(Calendar)
1. Choose and align the subject of the course paper with the manager.
2. Familiarity with guidelines for drawing up and defending course paper.
3. Gathering and systematising theoretical literature.
4. Getting the necessary data and information.
5. Development of analytical part of the course work.
6. Drawing up key conclusions and proposals.
7. Preparing a presentation to defend a course paper.
8. Defending and evaluating the course paper.

Description of the organization and tasks of students’ independent work
A student writes the course paper according to the topic chosen independently, consulting the supervisor of the student. Course paper in paper format should be submitted by the student to the specialization direction profiling institute at least 10 days prior the day the defence meeting is held, while uploading an electronic format to the LLU e-studio site. The procedure of production, supervision, submission, and defence of a course paper is regulated by the Guidelines for Writing and Defending a Course paper.
