Course abstract
Woodworking machinery and equipment theoretical foundations. Their design and specification. Woodworking machines usability, suitability and choice of different technological processes for implementation. The technical calculations of machine. Woodworking tools development and modern operational requirements. Tools selection and design basics. Instrument recovery techniques. Occupational health and safety guidelines and safe working practices when working on woodworking machines.
Learning outcomes and their assessment
• Knowledge: Woodworking machine tools construction. Machine tools technical calculations. Tool construction and choice of law.
• Skills: The ability to choose the particular technological operation the most suitable machine tools and cutting tools. • Competence: The ability to evaluate the machine tools and cutting-compliance with the production process.
