Course abstract

The course is designed to provide students with an understanding of creativity and innovation in business and the substance, kinds and processes of innovation. Students gain theoretical knowledge of and practical skills in implementing innovations in an enterprise, assessing the innovations and designing an innovation strategy.

Learning outcomes and their assessment

1. Know and understand the theoretical and empirical aspects of business innovation, content and processes, the role of innovation in business development - Test, practical assignments.
2. Knows and understands the importance of the innovation infrastructure and the opportunities it offers for company development - Review of the Training tour.
3. Knowledge of the skills and skills needed by the driver in driving the company's innovation - Test, practical work.
4. Is able to integrate ideas and take decisions in the creation of innovation - Working in Groups, Discussions, practical assignments, modelling the situation.
5. Is able to choose and successfully apply the methods of managing creativity and innovation - Working in Groups, Discussions, practical assignments, situational modelling.
6. Capable of developing the original prototype of the product, performing its first-time testing, analysing the results - Independent work.

Requirements for awarding credit points

Exam:The mark consist of:
• Test 1 (15%);
• Test 2 (15%);
• Practical assignments (10%);
• Independent work (20%);
• Examination about all themas (40%).
10% are equal to one point on a 10-point marking scale.

A mark of at least 4 has to be acquired in the practical works, seminar, test must be credited positive.
