Course abstract
The aim of the course is to look at mechanical engineering or CNC metalworking machines technical parameters of company, equipment, structure, tools and control system of CNC management and product specialisation, technological process and exactness of measurement providing, during the practice of technological production.
Learning outcomes and their assessment
1. Knowledge - knows the technical characteristics, construction and equipment of CNC working machines - practice report.
2. Skills - know the technical parameters of the machine, its structure, the necessary tools and application possibilities- practice report.
3. Competence - able to choose and justify the conformity of production machinery to production conditions and production volume - exam.
Course Content(Calendar)
1. To get acquainted with company administration, management structure, assortment of manufactured products – 8h;
2. Get acquainted with equipment, technological equipment, work organization – 8h;
3. Get acquainted with technologies for installation, setup and technical supervision of machine tools – 8h;
4. Get acquainted with the technical parameters, construction, equipment, tools of CNC machine tools – 12h;
5. Introduction to production, technological processes, control of CNC control systems – 12h;
6. Assistance to CNC machine tool operator and technologist in production preparation and manufacturing process – 12h;
7. Get acquainted with quality management in the workplace and in the process of technological processes – 12h;
8. Get acquainted with the technological documentation and its movement in the company – 12h;
9. Get acquainted with the process of design work in the company – 12h;
10. Studies of special literature and company normative documents; preparation of practice reference materials – 12h;
11. Choose your next specialty – 12h;
12. To draw up a practice report as an individual engineering work – 8h.
Requirements for awarding credit points
Examination type - exam. The exam consists of: report on the practice; quality of completion of the practice program; answer questions about the work to be done in practice.
Description of the organization and tasks of students’ independent work
Preparation of a practice report, which describes the work responsibilities performed during the practice, the work performed, their significance. The student must describe the acquired knowledge, skills and abilities, and must prepare for the exam.
Criteria for Evaluating Learning Outcomes
The assessment of the exam depends on the end-of-practice report on the profession, its duties, the work performed, the responsibilities, the importance of the work performed, the qualifications and knowledge required for the job, the specifics of the work, the knowledge, skills, quality management organization in the company, and answer questions about the practice.
