Course abstract
The course covers problems connected with analogous electronics. Basic information about construction of semiconductors and operational principles of electronic elements is given in the first part of the course. Second part discusses various small signal and power transistor amplifier circuits. Student’s theoretical knowledge is improved in laboratory by working with discrete semiconductor elements and circuits and by performing graphical and analytical calculations.
Learning outcomes and their assessment
• Knowledge – about structure, properties, characteristics of electronic elements and application in signal processing, power supplies, power electronics and control equipment;
• skills – using standard circuits in development of electronic devices, performing technical calculations on circuits; • competence – to know technical characteristics of electronic elements, to choose appropriate electronic elements and standard circuits in designing and serving electronic modules of various equipment.
