Course abstract

Choice of theme of the master thesis depends on speciality of study program. Working out of individual study plan, defining of the hypothesis, the aim and tasks of the master theses. Topicality of research theme of master theses. Description of study object. Literature studies for formulation of methodology of research and /or planning of experiments.

Learning outcomes and their assessment

Knowledge and understanding of the importance of the selected topic in the relevant sub-sector and topical issues of the subject (Evaluated orally, discussed with the supervisor).
Gain in-depth skills in working with scientific literature. (Evaluated orally, negotiating with the supervisor). As a result, it is able to compile and analyze scientific literature, evaluate and select research methods appropriate to the topic of work. (Evaluated orally, negotiating with the supervisor).

Course Content(Calendar)

1 Selection and approval of the master's thesis topic (40 hours)
2 Development and submission of master's thesis tasks (40 hours)
3 Justification of the topicality of the master's thesis topic. Object of research, aim and tasks of master's thesis (40 hours)
4 Identification of previous scientific research and literature on the chosen topic (40 hours)
5 Critical analysis of previous scientific research and literature on the chosen topic (40 hours)

Requirements for awarding credit points

Execution of individual study plan. Studies are individual. Type of fulfilled requirements: positive test result.

Description of the organization and tasks of students’ independent work

Each week, during the meeting, the supervisor discusses the tasks independently and fulfilled tasks, plan for the next reporting period. At the end of the study course, present the achievements for the whole reporting period.

Criteria for Evaluating Learning Outcomes

Positive pass of this study course consists of:
1.Written master's thesis 90%.
2.Discussions and answers to the questions of supervisor 10%.
