The aim of the study course is to find out the current impact to human body, the first aid, and specifications of secure and safe electric equipment use, and other security and instruments secure use regulating norms are evaluated and observed as well. Study course is designed in accordance with Energy standard of Latvia.
Knowledge - of organizational and technical measures for electrical work - Test 1.
Skills - for organization of electrical safety work with electrical equipment - 2nd test.
Competence - for assessment of work environment and work equipment in accordance with the requirements of electrical safety regulations - test 3.
Full time intramural studies:
1. Electric facilities and equipment. 0.5h – lecture, 0.5 h – practical work
2. Electric shock hazard on human body. Actions after electrical shock and first aid. 1h – lecture, 1 h – practical work
3. Types of electric hazardous facilities. – 0.5h – lecture, 0.5 h – practical work
4. Basic electric safety practices. 1h – lecture, 1 h – practical work
5. Types of electric safety groups. – 0.5h – lecture, 0.5 h – practical work
6. Electric safety technical practices, operating in electric facilities. – 0.5h – lecture, 0.5 h – practical work
7. Organization of electric safe operation in electric facilities. 3h – lecture, 3 h – practical work
8. Types of electric line works. 1h – lecture, 1 h – practical work
Part time extramural studies:
All topics specified for full time studies are accomplished, but the number of contact hours is one half of the number specified in the calendar
All three tests should be passed for awarding credit points
Students independently prepare for tests.
Each test consists of 15 questions with 4 answer options. To pass the test, at least 70% of the questions should be answered correctly.
