The aim of the study course is to develop a master's thesis. The master's thesis is an independent scientific research on topical topics in the chosen field of study. In the master's thesis, the student provides an analysis of the research problem, outlines the development of the research subject or idea, puts forward an independent research hypothesis and provides its reasoned justification. The master's thesis consists of studies of scientific literature, experimental / analytical research, statistical data analysis and compilation of research results.
Knows the stages and structure of the master's thesis, the significance of the chosen research topic in the context of current events.
Is able to choose scientific literature and critically evaluate its content, perform experimental and analytical research, analyze the obtained research results.
Is able to formulate the aims and tasks of the master's thesis, to choose and apply modern and internationally recognized research methods, to prepare a review of the scientific literature, to present and substantiate the results and conclusions of the research.
Assessment - defense of the master's thesis at the Master's examination commission
1. Collection of study and / or experimental data.
2. Initial data processing.
3. Statistical analysis and graphical representation of the obtained data.
4. Summary of research results.
5. Evaluation of research results.
6. Formulation of conclusions, proposals.
7. Master's thesis progress report in interim reports
8. Preparation of the master's thesis and coordination with the supervisor.
9. Master's thesis design and pre-drying.
10. Incorporation of master's thesis pre-defense recommendations.
11. Submission of master's thesis and preparation of presentation.
12. Presentation of the master's thesis at the student's scientific conference
13. Defense of master's thesis.
The exam consists of:
• a report is provided in the interim reports of the master's thesis
• a report is given in the pre-defense of the master's thesis
• report presented at a student scientific conference
• defended master's thesis at the Master's examination commission
Studies of scientific and study literature related to the topic of the master's thesis (monographs, scientific articles and their collections, conference and seminar materials, specialized scientific periodicals).
Independent development of successive works related to the topic of the master's thesis.
Preparation of publications and report for the student scientific conference.
1. After the report, the student's work on the Master's thesis is evaluated in three pre-defenses of the Master's thesis.
2. After the report in the 3rd pre-defense of the Master's thesis, a decision is made at the meeting of the Department on the compliance of the Master's thesis with the specified requirements and promotion.
3. The defense of the Master's thesis takes place at the Master's examination commission, which is approved by the Rector's order.
