Course abstract

Students become acquainted with structure and organization of the Forest production process, forest policy of Republic of Latvia, entrepreneurship forms and its introduction in forestry and forest exploitation, forest industry organization and planning in free market economy, working time research methods and application.

Learning outcomes and their assessment

After completing the course student will have:
• knowledge – – about business start-ups, for ensuring effective business and final evalution of the results;
• skills – students acquire necessary skills to perform necessary calculations, analysis of the situations in order to ensure effective economic activity; .
• competence – knowledge and practical skills are acquired in order to find the most profitable and assessable compromise between the wishes and practical possibilities of the enterprise while drawing out the business plan.
