Course abstract

In the 2nd semester of the master's thesis, the selection of the methodology for performing experimental works and the preparation of the research work plan takes place. This is followed by the selection and preparation of experimental equipment (object) for research work, which will continue in the 3rd semester.

Learning outcomes and their assessment

Within the framework of the master's thesis of this stage, students strengthen their knowledge of the planned experiments and the initial processing of empirical data. Master students acquire skills to interpret the obtained results, to develop proposals for their theoretical and practical use. The master student acquires the competence to independently perform the planned experiments. Knowledge, skills and competence are assessed orally in discussions with the supervisor.

Each of the topics is dedicated to 100 hours of independent work.
1 Development of the research part of the master's thesis. 2 Carrying out research.

Requirements for awarding credit points

Execution of individual study plan. Studies take place individually. Type of test: passed.

Description of the organization and tasks of students’ independent work

Within the framework of independent work, the student develops a research methodology related to the master's thesis, processes empirical data and compares data, including with literature data.

Criteria for Evaluating Learning Outcomes

The student submits the intended sections, which are presented in the course content and successfully defend, obtaining the grade - passed.
