The aim of the study course is to get acquainted with the design issues of a mechanical engineering company. Students get acquainted with the issues of design of mechanical engineering company while developing of a new company and in the case of modernization of the existing company, depending on the type of production; also methods of calculation of the amount of personnel, planning techniques of the production area size of workshop and enterprise and different types of organisation of material, production and information flows.
Knowledge’s of the principles, sequence and stages of the factory’s design, determination of design goals, determination of volume and size parameters for capital equipment, personnel, production areas, analysis of material flows and choice of work organization form. Assessment - Test 1: Basic principles of design, goals, tasks, course and main stages.
Skills to choose optimal solution from several design solutions of the factory and to justify it’s advantages. Assessment - Test 2: Determination of structural and qualitative parameters of the production object, material flows.
Competence for the design of the engineering factory (workshop), their importance for ensuring of the company's efficiency and competitiveness. Assessment - Home work: Design of X mechanical engineering manufacturing company / unit.

Home work: Design of X mechanical engineering manufacturing company / unit.
Written exam. Exam task consists of:
- test on theoretical subject acquired in the course;
- practical assignment on the topics acquired in the course.
All tests and homework must be included.
Homework Designing a mechanical engineering company / unit X, the student independently seeks information for the development of homework - both in the branch company where he currently works and in literature sources; develops homework in accordance with the Theme.
The assessment of the study course examination depends on the assessment of the examination task and the cumulative assessment of the study course tests and homework.
The student can successfully pass the test or examination test if at least 50% of the test questions are answered correctly.
The homework and examination practical tasks are evaluated according to the assessment procedure set in the homework or examination practical tasks.
Students who have at least 7 marks in this study course may fail the theoretical test and equate the arithmetic mean of the test scores in the course with the assessment of the theoretical test.
The exam grade is calculated as the arithmetic mean of two exam tasks and the average grade of the semester, which is calculated as the arithmetic mean of the grade tests and homework.
