LauZ5108 [GLAU5111] Theory of Agricultural Machinery I
The aim of the course is to master the theoretical bases of agricultural machinery and its operation: agricultural machinery working environment and work object; basics of tillage machine operation theory; theory and calculation of planting machines, seeders, sprayers and fertilizer machines; theory and calculation of grass harvesting machines; fundamentals and calculation of the theory of industrial harvesting machines; theory and calculation of sorting machines; an idea of machine testing.
Knowledge of the theoretical substantiation of the construction and operation of agricultural machinery.
Skills to identify the active part of the machine defects and assess the activities refusals, based on knowledge of their activities theoretical principles. 3 practical works, report and defense of works.
Competence to evaluate the technical and technological conformity of agricultural machinery, based on the understanding of the basic theoretical principles of their construction and operation. 3 practical works, report and work defense.

Test with a mark. Six works designed in the form of reports and credited by the lecturer.
Preparation for reports, using the literature indicated in the study program and consulting with the lecturer of the study course.
The assessment of the study course test depends on the test task and the cumulative assessment of the study course reports.
A student can obtain a successful grade for reports if at least 50% of the report questions are answered correctly.
The test mark is calculated as the arithmetic mean of the average results of the defended reports
