Course abstract

The purpose of the course is to enhance Master students’ knowledge about the role of research in the modern society, to introduce with general scientific and social science research methods. The key focus of the course is research in economics and business, as well as topics that foster Master students’ independent work, including qualitative Master thesis preparation.

Learning outcomes and their assessment

Knowledge: about research methods the most used in socio-economic researches; about sources of information, business research; about main stages of research. Skills: to shape plan of research; to write theoretical part of master thesis; to choose the most appropriate ways for collecting and processing of information; to evaluate scientific papers. Competence: research work with support of supervisor.
