Citi2037, Scientific Work in Speciality II
CitiK002 [GCITK002] Scientific Work in Land Mangement and Surveying II
Students learn to develop a scientific paper on a specific topic of land management and surveying, showing the ability to describe the choice of the topic in a relatively short text, its topicality, goal and tasks, determine the methods of data acquisition and calculation, emphasizing their advantages and efficiency. Students develop the results of their work by developing and improving their academic and professional competencies in writing, designing and presenting the results.
1. Is able to understand the course and significance of the process of development of scientific work in land management and land surveying - a publication has been developed and submitted and a presentation on the research results has been given.
2. Is able to independently obtain research data and apply research methods for data analysis and interpretation in land management and surveying - a publication has been developed and submitted and a presentation on the research results has been provided.
3. Knows how to summarize the research in a publication and prepare a presentation for the presentation of the results in land management and surveying - a publication has been developed and submitted and a presentation on the research results has been given.
Full time studies:
1. Choice of the topic of the scientific work.
2. Formulation of the aim and tasks of the scientific work.
3. Collection and analysis of literature.
4. Acquisition of data and other materials necessary for the development of the work.
5. Evaluation and systematization of the obtained materials.
6. Scientific work planning.
7. Choice of scientific work methodology.
8. Processing of the obtained data.
9. Analysis and substantiation of the obtained results.
10. Summary of the research in the publication.
11. Development of conclusions and proposals.
12. Final design and submission of the publication.
13. Preparation of the presentation.
14. Presentation of research results in a student scientific conference.
Part-time studies:
All topics specified for full-time studies are implemented, but the number of contact hours is 1/2 of the specified number of hours
The course work consists of:
• Independently, in consultation with the supervisor, a scientific paper has been developed and summarized in a publication and presentation;
• The publication is presented in the collection of articles of the study program students' scientific conference “Student on the way to science”, and the results of scientific work are presented at the conference.
Scientific work must be performed independently, in consultation with the supervisor, demonstrating professional competencies in the necessary scientific and study literature studies, application of research methods in obtaining and processing the data of the selected research.
To achieve the study results (for the evaluation of the course work) the following is evaluated:
• student's independent work during the development of scientific work;
• the student's ability to freely apply the knowledge acquired during studies and independently select the literature necessary for the work, the ability to obtain data, analyze and critically evaluate information about the issue and formulate reasoned conclusions and proposals;
• submission, publication and presentation of a scientific paper at a student scientific conference.
