Students get acquainted with the architectural planning and constructive solution of practice construction sites, construction work organization project and its implementation in the construction site, application of the latest construction techniques and technologies, rationalization proposals and novelties, project-estimate documentation for technical and economic indicators, learn practical skills in construction management.
After the course studies the student will have:
• Knowledge - knowledge and understanding of construction work processes, technology, construction work planning, organization and management on the construction site,
• Skills - is able to orientate in problems related to the management and organization of construction works on the construction site, acquired skills in the organization of construction works on construction sites,
• Competence - students are able to competently perform the duties assigned by the practice supervisor at the construction site, perform tasks related to construction technologies, develop individual tasks issued by the practice supervisor.
Assessment: knowledge, skills and competence are assessed with an internship report, completed individual internship tasks, a completed diary and a presentation.
1 Getting acquainted with the place and management of the internship, labor protection legislation and internal regulations.
2 Getting acquainted with the architectural planning and constructive solution of practice objects.
3 Getting acquainted with the construction work organization project and its implementation on the construction site. Selection of the topic of the qualification paper and coordination with the supervisor of the qualification paper.
4 Introduction to the latest construction machinery and technology.
5 Introduction to rationalization proposals and innovations. Receipt of an individual assignment from the qualification supervisor.
6 Research of technical and economic indicators of project - estimate documentation. Receiving an individual assignment from a practice manager in a construction organization.
7 Acquisition of practical skills in construction management and organization. Completion of construction documentation at the site. BIS (Building informative system) system acquisition.
8 Collection and compilation of materials necessary for the implementation of the diploma project.
9 Performance and design of individual tasks.
10 Getting acquainted with the storage of construction materials in the facility, their accounting, quality, losses, and certificates of conformity.
11 Observance of labor protection, firefighting regulations and norms, as well as measures to be taken at the construction site.
12 Organization of construction crews and division of labor among crew members.
13 Load levels of mechanisms on the construction site, types of main mechanisms and their load schedule.
14 Measures for the improvement of construction and assembly works on the construction site.
15 Quality control of building structures and construction products. Completion of covered work acts.
16 Compilation of practice report (report) materials, preparation and defense of the report. Industry news.
Part I (report) of the internship report must be submitted and defended, a presentation must be prepared, an internship diary must be completed, at least one individual assignment given by the internship supervisor from the construction organization and the supervisor must be completed, positive feedback from the internship supervisor at the internship. The course ends with a test, the assessment of which depends on the cumulative assessment of the practice.

The student is able to prove the acquired knowledge and skills acquired during the internship “Construction Management I”, developing an internship report (50%), completing 2 internship tasks (20%), compiling and defending a presentation about the internship time (30%). The overall rating is a test (100%).
