Course abstract

Construction graphics documents. Drawing technique, scales, drawing sizes. Making of sizes in drawings. Stages of design. Design of drawings. Floor plans and sections. Facades. Constructive elements of buildings. Drawings of metal and timber constructions. General plan of building project. Drawing of prestressed concrete. Drawings of sanitary-technical systems of engineer constructions.

Learning outcomes and their assessment

Knowledge of building drawings

and design principles, regarding the content and design of a building project. (practical works, laboratory works)

Skills to draw drawings in pencil technique, prepare materials for drawings in computer engineering. (laboratory works)

Competence - to draw up the main drawings of a building design - floor plans, cuts, facades, knots and master plan. (laboratory works).

Course Content(Calendar)

1. Drawings and indications Drawings of building facades. (laboratory works 1 h);
2. Master plans of the construction facility. (laboratory works 3 h; practical works 3 h);
3. Drawings of the constructions of the rod-concrete. Drawings of wooden structures. (laboratory works 3 h; practical works 4 h);
4. Drawings of sanitary systems. Drawings of engineering structures. (laboratory works 1 h; practical works 1 h).

Requirements for awarding credit points

A drawing set of the residential building must be drawn up in a pencil technique.

Description of the organization and tasks of students’ independent work

Students shall independently perform the final design and assembling of drawing works for transfer. Independently select the necessary materials used for the drawing building.

Criteria for Evaluating Learning Outcomes

The assessment consists of a cumulative assessment of the session visit (20%) and the performance and compliance of the submitted drawing set (80%).
