| Course abstract | |
| Students acquire knowledge of the institutional environment for entrepreneurship in Latvia, key market supervision institutions and institutions for the registration of economic operators as well as the legal framework for the functioning of the institutions and their priorities. After completing the course, students are able to independently acquire, select and analyse information and to use it to start up a business. Students gain skills to use the database of the Patents Library. | |

| 1.Demonstrate the knowledge and understanding of the institutional environment for entrepreneurship in Latvia, key market supervisory institutions and institutions for the registration of economic operators, the relevant legal framework and the responsibilities of the institutions - Examination, a seminar, practical assignments

| Requirements for awarding credit points | |
| Exam. The Mark consist of:
•50% exam in the Moodle system about all themas •20% a seminar – Supreme national supervisory institutions and the subordinate institutions •25% practical assignment of Practical planning activities according to the list (foundation documents, the institutional environment model etc.) •5 % registered attendance. 10% are equal to one point on a 10-point marking scale. A mark of at least 4 has to be acquired in the practical works, seminar, test must be credited positive. |
