Course abstract
The course deals with the transport process components and road transport vehicle efficiency indicators. The course also deals with transportation technologies of the main type of cargo of various industries and with the selection of appropriate vehicles, as well as cargo loading and unloading mechanisms and machines.
Learning outcomes and their assessment
• Knowledges - on basic components of transportation process, vehicles used in transportation, types of cargo, its loading and unloading techniques, as well as on organizing principles of effective freight and passenger transport by road.
• Skills - analyze, compare and evaluate the suitability and efficiency of individual vehicle in freight and passenger transportation in different types of traffic. • Competence - the ability to choose the most suitable road vehicle for transportation of selected goods or passengers.
