Course abstract
In this study subject students learn basics of logistics, acquire knowledge about essence of logistics and their concepts. Additionally there are analyzed core components of logistics, as well as management. The course also deals with number of important logistics elements – transportation, order processing, inventory management, warehouse facilities, packaging and material handling.
Learning outcomes and their assessment
Students will acquire
• knowledge - about the essence of the logistics, about basic components and functions within the logistics chain;
• skills - to link the supply of goods as well as expenses in a single chain or process from raw material to final consumer; • competence - the ability to apply the logistic approach for improvement the supply of goods.
