Course abstract
The main goal of the course is to introduce rural sociology as a branch of sociology, to give an outline of its main focus: rural areas as specific spatial and social formation. Social aspects of agricultural production. Rural policy. Institutional structure of rural policy. Environmentalism and rural development. Sustainable agriculture. Alternative agriculture (social aspects).
