Course abstract
Students acquire knowledge, skills and reflection abilities about verbal and nonverbal communication, typical situations of communication. They provide planning, applying and analysis of concrete situations of communication. Development of clientcentred attitudes. Students learn to link theory to real life, discuss, defend their views and develop a scientific style of work. During practical studies teamwork and creative solutions are promoted.
Learning outcomes and their assessment
Knowledge: to be able to explain by himself basic concepts of communication psychology and communication process, to describe a positive interaction with customers and partners, to give examples of theoretical aspects of communication, to discuss active listening techniques and interpret non-verbal communication in the group. Skills: to be able independently use the own-initiative knowledge and practical work during communication process to create a positive interaction with customers and partners; to discuss the importance of communication in his/her profession and to justify his/her opinions, to speak in front of an audience; to analyze conflicts, communication barriers, and communication styles; to study self-selected theoretical aspects of communication in everyday situations. Competence:to be able to evaluate and to use interpersonal skills in everyday situations, professional activities and personal development; to work with partners and customers, to create a positive interact.
