Course abstract
Development of democracy supports free and active participation of citizens in the political process. This requires a significant level of political culture. The aim of the course is to present the content of political culture, provide information on the political culture models, draw an image of the political elite, the formation of political responsibility and moral ethics in politics.
Learning outcomes and their assessment
1. comprehensive knowledge of politics and the political culture, an understanding of theory, political process and document analysis.
2. upgrading of skills and abilities:
- analytical thinking;
- argumentation and critical thinking;
- work in groups and individually;
- to plan and organize work;
- analyze and systematize the information obtained through various sources of information.
3. competence:
- making policy documents, their analysis in view of the political theory and ethics;
- analyze and evaluate their own and members of the group work results; - respect the basic principles of democratic political culture in state administration.
