| The main concepts of the demand and supply in the labour market are being thought in the program relevant to vocational education. Unemployment as a socioeconomical and psychological problem, labour market structure and their characteristics, the working relationship-building aspects of the private and public sectors, population structure of economic activity and changes - number of employees, the employment rate, employment levels, job-seekers (the unemployed), the unemployment rate, economically inactive population (housewives, students, pensioners, disabled people). | Learning outcomes and their assessment | |
| Knowledge of factors influencing labour market, its development trends in Latvia and in Europe, knowledge of necessary skills and professional training. Skill to use knowledge for individual work, to perform analytical research of the labour market. Competence: Able to critically evaluate political documents and labour market current issues, to perform ongoing assessment of labour market trends and to integrate fresh assessments in her/his professional occupation. | |
