| Course abstract | |
| Students learn the various factors of wood quality. Get to know the factors that cause changes in the quality of round timber, the storage methods and protection measures. Identify wood defects, evaluate log quality and learn methods of volume determination. Learn about stem bucking rational principles. | |
| Learning outcomes and their assessment | |
| During studies the student will acquire:
* Knowledge of round timber in the assessment of the quality, volume determination methods and storage techniques; * The skills to identify the wood defects and assess their size, as well as choose the most appropriate method of determining the volume of round timber and storage; * Competence for the round timber quality and quantity assessment, and the organization of timber storage. |
