Course abstract
The study course provides the basic concepts of timber transport system and its development trends. Deals with auto vehicle types and division, as well as operating characteristics. Analysed road vehicle use technical indicators exploitative, freight flows, routes. It discusses the types of loads and loading, unloading, they used for loading and unloading machinery and equipment.
Learning outcomes and their assessment
Knowledge of timber transport complex of the common characteristics of the modes of cooperation and coordination of activities, road vehicle use exploitative technical indicators, types of cargo and cargo loading and unloading operations.(test)
Skills to apply theoretical knowledge in timber transport process analysis, planning and organizing for a lower cost, time and quality conforming to provide consumers with the timber.(test) Knowledge students have competence to work as logging compartment master or logistic specialist.(test)

13. Vehicles with interchangeable cargo holdings (lecture 1 hour).
14. Organisation of rolling stock movement in timber transport (lecture 2 hours)

Requirements for awarding credit points
All practical works, written tests and settled exams must be developed. If all tests are written with a rating of 4 balls and more, students can get an accumulative exam rating, as an average of the test ratings.

Studies of regulatory enactments regulating round timber transport.
Criteria for Evaluating Learning Outcomes
Student knowledge is evaluated in two tests:
•Test 1 – Transport system and vehicle classification; •Test 2 – Special rolling stock and organisation of its movement, technically economic indicators
