Course abstract
The aim of the study course to form and develop geometrical logic, three - dimensional thinking and imagination in correspondence with those notion that form the content of the study course. The basic method is graphical method. Students have to be able to produce and understand technical drawings which is an international language of graphic are means of expression of creative thinking.
Learning outcomes and their assessment
Knowledge - understands the projection method, view and section view building principles. Knows solving methods of metric and positions tasks. Has a good knowledge of design of different geometrical shapes and its flat pattern views. Familiar with the drawings related standards (ISO, LVS, GOST etc.). Knows the type of items and the relevant working documents and the execution sequence. Knows how to explain the drawing and add dimensions and annotations of threads, surface finish and material: skills - can select the right method for solving metric and positional tasks. Knows to draw the sketches of parts, axonometric views, design part working drawings, perform drawings of dismountable and rigid assemblies and text documentation for it, as well as real assembly drawings and detailing them according LVS standards: Competence - ability to apply professional knowledge and skills of Engineering graphics in practical work and studies.
