Course abstract | |
The study course acquaints with concepts of the design of a form, its functional and decorative features, the materials and instruments necessary for activities, provides an insight into the types and elements of forms. The practical sessions help to develop the flair of a form, to deepen insight into proportions, different constructions, relief and synthesis; students develop skill to apply different materials and constructional possibilities in the space and environment, to develop paper relief and imprints, to combine a form and a colour. | |
Learning outcomes and their assessment | |
• Knowledge – comprehension of the concepts of: form design, the materials and instruments necessary for activities, the types of forms, the plastic elements, the proportions and their harmonization;the insight into development of forms in a plane, the paper relief and types of imprints, the application of natural elements for the development of forms, etc.
• Skills- able to: apply different materials, instruments, visual elements, construction techniques and possibilities for the development of forms in the space and environment; apply creatively knowledge and skills acquired during the previous study courses for the outlining and developing forms. • Competence – able to: develop dimensional objects, integrating them into the real environment and space; express oneself creatively by using both natural and artificial materials, synthesis of techniques and forms, types and possibilities of finishing objects, functional and decorative features of design. |
