Course abstract
The aim of the internship is to acquire the responsibilities of an engineering service in the agricultural production process, researching and analyzing a company's production technology, including raw material supply, production and sales, technical service level, human health and safety situation, equipment and machinery renewal strategy and practical possibilities.
Learning outcomes and their assessment
1. Knowledge - on engineering service duties on agricultural product production farms as well as on the possibilities of up-dating of production technologies and machinery.
2 Skills – to know the technical basis of agricultural production, its renovation, completion and exploitation.
3 Competences – to acquire knowledge and skills that are necessary for an engineer of food branch concerned with development and up-dating of production technological processes.
Course Content(Calendar)
1. During the internship the student get acquainted with the economic activity of the internship company, the used equipment, the duties of engineers, as well as fulfill the individual task of the internship (according to the instructions of the internship supervisor) - 140 h
2. Preparation of practice report - 20 h
Requirements for awarding credit points
The internship is assessed with a test mark after the submitted internship report and discussion with the student.
Description of the organization and tasks of students’ independent work
The student complete independently the internship program, including the completion of an individual task and the preparation of an internship report.
Criteria for Evaluating Learning Outcomes
The evaluation of the internship is planned at the end of the internship, by submitting an internship report and a report on the completed individual task to the internship supervisor in advance. The professional practice of the Engineering Service is managed and the test is accepted by the practice manager.
