Course abstract
A student has gained basic knowledge of practical production during the first courses led by teachers. Professional practise is also a practical undergraduate study, so it is advisable to choose the place of practise in accordance with the theme of the final work. Student can select from the following specialization directions: fruit-growing (orchids), vegetable growing, ornamental gardening, bee keeping and nursery plant production.
Learning outcomes and their assessment
After completing the course student will have:
• knowledge of technological processes, management and organizational principles, students also obtain information of farm’s place in business environment, cooperatives, current market situation and agricultural organisations;
• skills to identify and assess the dissemination of harmful organisms, to collect their collections, identify crop species and to assess the horticulture production;
• skills reflect the student in accordance with design review practices. The end of practice the student is competent to practice the acquired knowledge and skills for horticulture production, processing and technology to use in their further work.
