Course abstract
Students learn the concept of land management and land use. The course provides insight and knowledge on land use and protection conditions in municipal territory, municipal land management, municipal owned and legally owned land management, as well as brownfield management and anti-degradation measures in municipal territory.

1.Is able to critically understand the theory and practice of land management and land use, its nature and content, rational and effective land management, use and protection - 1, 2. and 3. Laboratory work
2.Ability to perform land management activities independently at the state and local government level - Laboratory 4 and 5 3.Managing the assessment and elimination of land management and land use problems - 6, 7. and 8. Laboratory work

Requirements for awarding credit points
Mark od test work consists of:
•written test work on the theoretical subject acquired during the course;
•received evaluation of completed laboratory work
Description of the organization and tasks of students’ independent work
1.Preparation of descriptions of the progress of laboratory works. 2.Study course for acquisition of professional competences. studies of the necessary scientific and study literature (monographs, scientific articles and their collections, materials of conferences and seminars, specialized scientific periodicals) indicated by the lecturer.
Criteria for Evaluating Learning Outcomes
1.Mark of test work is obtained after a written test at the end of the course and summarizing the results of the laboratory work during the course. 2.After developing and describing the laboratory work, it is assessed whether students demonstrate knowledge and critical understanding of rational and efficient land management, use and protection, or have acquired the skills to perform land management activities independently at national and local government level, and assessing and remedying land management and land use problems
