Course abstract
Course consists of theoretical part with a successive theory in multiagent systems and practical part, where students learn basics of modeling multiagent systems using the most popular freely available tools. In the first lectures of the course multiagent systems are described in general, introduction to intelligent agents, distributed problem solving approach and game theory is given. In successive lectures planning of multiagent system operation, agent communication, decision making and learning are discussed in detail.
Learning outcomes and their assessment
• knowledge about intelligent agents and architecture, organization and application of multiagent systems;
• skills to use multiagent systems development and simulation environments NetLogo and AgentSheet, as well as to be able to learn other similar tools; • competence to identify use cases of multiagent systems and to know how to apply them in the problems of own research topic.
