Course abstract
Students during the practical training “Hydrometry” should improve and strengthen their knowledge in the river hydrology and discharge measurement equipment. During practice students are performing hydrometrical (discharge, flow rate), and geodesic measurements at the site. Data computations are held indoors and graphical documents as well as report should be prepared. In excursions students shall get knowledge about hydrometrical gauging stations and visits to the hydro power stations and hydro power museum have to be organized.ions.
Learning outcomes and their assessment
Upon completion of the practical training students will gain:
• Knowledge in theoretical and practical hydrometry issues and hydrological instruments and methods of discharge measurement observation.
• The practical training enables students with an ability to evaluate river status and ability to plan, develop and implement river discharge measurement field works and projects. • Competence to use obtained skills and collected information for the hydrological design.
