Course abstract
In course students acquire basic laws of electrical circuits, alternating current–fundamental concepts, graphical-analytical methods of calculation, basic of electrical measurement, transformers and energy supply, electrical sources of light, heat and mechanical energy, control and protection of electrical appliance as well as introduction in semiconductor theory and basic electronic elements.
Learning outcomes and their assessment
• Knowledge: the fundamentals of electrical engineering, the construction and operation of electrical sources of light, heat and mechanical energy, the construction and basic operation principles of electronic devices;
• skills: to calculate parameters of electric equipment, to choose electric equipment and argument this choose, to analyse electronic elements and operation of simple electronic circuits; • competence: choosing of the electric equipment and its operation regimes, evaluation and choice of operation optimization solutions.
