Course abstract
Study course is developed based on Energy standard in Latvia requirements, taking in account specifics of agriculture energy supply. During study course students acquire understanding of rational and economical use of electricity, system of internal and external network construction, calculation principles of electric networks and short circuit currents, as well as protection against overvoltage, equipment used in electric networks, transformer substations design, security and safety of eletric energy supply, proper use of electric stations, network and other electric equipment is studied.
Learning outcomes and their assessment
• Knowledge - about electrical devices, and main technical and organizational requirement s of their use
• skills - how to properly, safely and with high efficiency use the electrical devices; • competence - in electric devices proper use evaluation.
