Course abstract |
During studies principles of relay protections and automation tasks, the performance evaluation principles and main elements will be explored. Knowledge about maximum current protection, the protection operational control and power supply design, and protection types is being acquired. Transformer, electrical motors protection is being studied. Automation and efficient use of energy in relay protection systems is being studied as well. |
Learning outcomes and their assessment |
• Knowledge - about the electrical network relay protection performance, design and operations;
• skills - to choose the appropriate relay protection for the object, ability to operate and control the operations of the facility relay protection and automation;
• competence - selection of relay protection system elements and automation principles, implementation and operation of relay protection and automation. |
