Course abstract
Description and analysis of experimental works as well as selection and argumentation of mathematical models is discussed consistent with Master Thesis. The skills of summarisation and assessment of scientific results are acquired.
Learning outcomes and their assessment
Knowledge about research methods and analysis of results;
Skills to perform experimental and analytical investigations; Competence to formulate research task, perform investigations, choose method of numerical analysis and evaluate the acquired results.
Course Content(Calendar)
1. Introduction to practical training, specifying of internal orderi n business company. Correct planning of training and experimental work.
2. Study of methodology of research work taken. Preparation of laboratory equipment.
3. Performing of experimental tests.
4. Data processing and methods of digital presentation.
5. Computer software for design and research in civil engineering, general inspection of programms, mastering of skills in use. 6. Preparation of training report and defence before departmental staff.
Requirements for awarding credit points
Credit points will be enrolled if the training program has been accomplished, written report submitted ant successfully defended before departmental staff. Qualitative assessment - with mark.
Description of the organization and tasks of students’ independent work
Mastering of skills and drafting of research training report correspondingly to plan.
Criteria for Evaluating Learning Outcomes
Content and quality of training report; ability to present and discuss on his/her research topic.
