Course abstract
Landscape inventory aims, systems, methods, process and use of data for landscape research, monitoring, planning and management.
Learning outcomes and their assessment
After completing the course student will have:
• knowledge of landscape inventory stages and methods; knowledge of distinguish approaches in landscape inventory of different landscape types; knowledge of terminology used in landscape architecture;
• skills to investigate and evaluate a research area by using landscape inventory methods; skills to present obtained results and main conclusions from the study; • competence to carry out a scientific research in landscape architecture and planning; competence to work according to the Latvia legislative documentation; competence to appreciate heritage and nature values in economical development of area.
