Course abstract
Students familiarize themselves with the basic principles of industrial construction design, the classification of buildings. Learn about construction legislation, regulatory enactments. Understand the design schemes of buildings, technology-based planning. Design the architectural parts of the industrial building - floor plans, crossections, master plans. Develop a specification of the design elements of the floors. Drawings shall be carried out in the course of the study course in a digital format.
Learning outcomes and their assessment
Knowledge of building standards for construction processes, construction legislation, constructions and their application in industrial buildings, metal and concrete frames and elements thereof. (lectures, quiz, practical works, defending permanent works)
Skills to design and design drawings in hardware, drawings of structures in AutoCAD format, (Practical works)
Competence to prepare a plan of buildings, a facade, a cut, drawings, producing printed drawings in electronic format. (lectures, practical works).
Course Content(Calendar)
1.General details on construction. Types of buildings and structures. Introduction to industrial construction. Construction legislation. Familiarity with the working environment of a computer program Drawing and working on simple geometrical elements (lectures 1 h, practical works 2 h).
2.Single modular system in construction. Design schemes for buildings. Basic principles for industrial design. Attachment of supporting structures. Drawings of building plans Work in layers, creating new layers. (lectures 1 h, practical works 10 h).
3.Auxiliary buildings and facilities for industrial enterprises. Sanitary household rooms, their calculations. Structural elements of buildings. Steel frame: columns, beams, buses, frames. Create blocks, modify them. Configure the size line. Eviction of size lines. Dispatches and instructions. (lectures 3 h, practical works 4 h).
4.Concrete frame and components of the one-story industrial building. Two-story industrial buildings. Demersal, their cellular properties. 1. Construction of building cuts. Creating and using plain text and “multi” text. Coloring elements according to generally accepted standards (lectures 2 h, practical works 10 h).
5.Foundation under the columns of the frames. Fonundation beams, their tasks, cross sections. Foundation under machines, equipment. Walls in an industrial building: walls of panels, walls, fire protection. Format and trimmings, lines, scales of drawings. Preparation of drawings for printing (sheet drawing), printing of drawings (lectures 1 h, practical works 4 h).
6.Industrial building floors, their constructive elements. Roofs and their coverings. Water drainage systems from rooftops. (lectures 1 h);
7.General plans for industrial areas. Water supply, sewer, ventilation. Master plans of the construction facility. (lectures 1 h, practical works 6 h);
8.Theory test.Preparation of a set of drawings. (practical works 2 h).
Requirements for awarding credit points
During the semester, one theory test must be completed successfully (at least 4 balls) and a summary of the food production project drawing containing plans, cuts, masterplanes and the specification of floors must be drawn up.
Description of the organization and tasks of students’ independent work
Students shall independently develop the location of the technological circuits and equipment of the manufacturing company, design of the building, draw up a drawing and set out the dimensions. Draws up the floor specification. Preparing for a test on a lecture course..
Criteria for Evaluating Learning Outcomes
The final evaluation of the study course depends on the cumulative assessment of the study course quiz (30%) and practical work (set of drawings).
Practical works developed (plant plan, cross-section, masterplan and floor specification) are defended by the student in an oral manner, in response to questions related to the practical and theoretical basis of the work, resulting in a grade rating. The check mark for works in practice shall be calculated as the arithmetic mean of the markings of independent works.
