Course abstract
Students get acquainted with building construction and engineering drawings, learn drawing and project design standards and regulations, prepare a set of pencil and computer drawings, learn about the building plans, section, elevation and node construction and design requirements. Students learn about construction of separate geometrical objects, understanding of space and composition on paper, proportions of objects, get acquainted with basic principles of shading.
Learning outcomes and their assessment
1. Knowledge about construction drawing design standards and regulations, content of construction project and design, bases of drawing
2. Skills to prepare drawings by pencil and computer, to prepare engineering drawings, to construct and shade different geometrical objects 3. Competence to prepare general drawings of the building: plans, elevations, sections, to analyze construction of different geometrical objects.
