Course abstract
Practical work improving knowledge given during the theoretical course. Introduction in practice with drainage and irrigation systems, it separate elements, constructions, structure, it exploitation and maintenance. Students getting overview on different water treatment equipments, it workings. Commercial landfills and its problems related to exploitation.
Learning outcomes and their assessment
1. Knowledge – Theoretical knowledge regarding designed reclamation measures building process, evaluation of technical condition and knowledge of specific maintenance measures. Specialized knowledge of different sewage water purification equipment and their working principles. Students get practical knowledge about dumping-ground exploitation problems.
2. Skills to identify cause of not sufficiently drained area and areas with damaged drainage systems. Skills to find reasons of drainage system defects and apply optimal measures to eliminate defects. Skills to analyze concrete waste management process from environmental point of view.
3. Competence to evaluate technical conditions of drainage system and to establish necessary measures of defect elimination. Competence to choose optimal technology for specific concrete waste management problem.
