Course abstract
MSc thesis in the Environmental Engineering should have research elements and demonstrate the level of knowledge acquired during studies. Existing knowledge should be supported with novel ideas. The thesis normally involves analytic description of the topic, identification of problems, presentation and evaluation of research results, conclusions or recommendations for solution of the problem.
Learning outcomes and their assessment
The course develops: 1. Knowledge and understanding about state of arts of the topic of MSc thesis and recent developments in that area. 2. The course enables students with an ability to find relevant literature sources and evaluate its role for solution of the tasks of Master Thesis. 3. The course elaborates competence to formulate objective and main tasks of thesis and competence to elaborate literature review on the topic of research.
