Course abstract

The aim of the study course is the development of a diploma thesis, with which students prove their theoretical and practical knowledge and ability to independently solve issues related to the field of veterinary medicine, to draw reasoned conclusions. The student must prepare a draft of the diploma thesis in accordance with the requirements of the methodological guidelines.

Learning outcomes and their assessment

Knows about the methodological guidelines for the development and design of a diploma thesis;
Is able to formulate the goal and tasks of the research according to the topic, to identify and summarize the necessary theoretical basis;
Has the ability to organize and plan one's time, as well as to choose appropriate methods for acquiring and processing information in order to achieve research results; the ability to work with scientific and professional literature.
Assessment: presentation of the diploma thesis development plan to the supervisor.

Course Content(Calendar)

1. Clarification of the current situation according to the topic;
2. Formulation of the topic of the diploma thesis;
3. Formulation of the goal and tasks of the diploma thesis;
4. Development of the diploma thesis plan.

Requirements for awarding credit points

The study course is evaluated with a formal test without a grade if:
• the goal of the thesis, tasks and development plan of the diploma thesis have been approved under the supervision of the supervisor;
• topicality of the topic, title, goal, tasks and thesis development plan were presented and approved at the relevant academic meeting of the Institute.

Description of the organization and tasks of students’ independent work

The work is organized according to the course content, in accordance with the supervisor.

Criteria for Evaluating Learning Outcomes

The topicality of the topic, the title of the thesis topic, the aims of the research, the tasks and the research plan must be presented at the academic meeting of the respective Institute.
