Course abstract

Pharmacology - one of the special subjects in Veterinary Medicine studies.
General aims of study are following: veterinary drug prescription, drug formularies and routs of administration, pharmacodinamics and pharmacokinetics of the drugs, side effects of drug (warning etc.) and drugs used in diseases for different organ systems.

Learning outcomes and their assessment

After completing the course student will have:
• knowledge of drug forms and acquired skill of veterinary drug prescription; pharmacodynamics, pharmacokinetics, pharmacoprophylaxys and adverse drug reactions.
• the skills to prescribe drugs from different veterinary pharmacology groups, to find and analyze the information about veterinary drugs from different organ system drug groups;
• will have competence to apply the acquired knowledge in the future studies, especially in clinical subjects.
