Course abstract

Students must to study process of entrepreneurship in different branches of national economy in time of practice and to take a part in planning and organization process. In practice has to consolidate theoretical knowledge about management process in enterprise, about controlling of it, also about the evolution process of efficiency and decision – making process.

Learning outcomes and their assessment


Students will be able to:
1. Demonstrate basic knowledge of how to integrate theoretical aspects of doing business in business practice at enterprises (organisations, institutions) of various industries - practical training report, a reference of the work placement coach, the presentation of the report
2. Integrate and apply the acquired knowledge to take part in providing business processes in enterprises (organisations, institutions) - practical training report, a reference of the work placement coach, the presentation of the report
3. Analyse, compare and assess various processes in enterprises (organisations, institutions) and identify opportunities for enhancing the processes - practical training report, a reference of the work placement coach, the presentation of the report
4. Explain and present the results of their work to others - presentation of the practical training report
5. Cooperate with others - reference of the work placement coach
6. Responsibly plan the completion of the assignments given - practical training report, a reference of the work placement coach, the presentation of the report

7. Demonstrate an awareness of, comprehend, assess, explain and apply the acquired theoretical knowledge and practical skills in the process of doing business in various industries, participate in implementing and managing this process - practical training report, a reference of the work placement coach, the presentation of the report

Course Content(Calendar)

1. Getting acquainted with the place of practice, its type of activity, development history.
2. Acquaintance with regulatory documents regulating the company's activities.
3. Implementation of management functions in the company. Organization of the planning process.
4. Implementation of management methods in the company.
5. Information and communication implementation of the management process in the company.
6. Research of decision-making process in the company.
7. Organization of production or provision of services and realization process, operating principles.

8. Management and control of the process of production or provision of services and sale of services.

Requirements for awarding credit points

The practical training is completed within the specified period, a practical training report ir independently produced and successfully defended with the Practical Training Commission at the Institute of Business and management Science.
Failure to undergo or complete the practical training or defend the report within the specified period represent outstanding course requirements. The practical training not underwent or completed may be done in the next academic year.

Description of the organization and tasks of students’ independent work

The student has to produce a practical training report (15-20 pages in size (excluding annexes) and computer typeset) during the placement in accordance with the guidelines for practical training. A fully completed report together with a reference from the placement coach has to be submitted to the supervisor appointed by the Institute at the final stage of the training – on the date prescribed by the semester plan.

Criteria for Evaluating Learning Outcomes

The student’s practical training is evaluated as pass or fail by the Practical Training Commission based on the quality of the report, the student’s presentation and defence result and the reference from the coach.
