Course abstract
The aim of the course is to introduce students to public property, and to develop their understanding of types, role and management of public property. To introduce the normative documentation of the public property. To acquire skills to evaluate potential problems related to the management of public property and processes related to the management, and to develop skills to elaborate solutions for improvements.
Learning outcomes and their assessment
Knowledge – deepened understanding on types of public property, its management, and normative documentation regulating management of public property. Skills – to have deepened knowledge on management of public property owned and managed by the state and municipalities. To be competent in normative documents related to the public property. To identify topical problems of public property management, to evaluate them and to offer solutions. To acquire ability to analyse, systemize, synthesize, and integrate information profoundly by using different information sources. Competences – to be competent in system of normative documents regulating management of public property and to have a good knowledge in its requirements. Ability to analyse and assess normative documents and possible risks in management of public property by offering justified suggestions for improvements in management of public property.
