Course abstract

Practical classes are aimed at the development of students’ skills to understand the essence of conflict management, models for the solution of conflict situations, they learn to solve interpersonal conflicts, and apply alternative methods and approaches in solution of conflicts. During practical classes students learn methods for the solution of conflict situations, basic elements of conflicts, methods for diagnosing conflicts and manipulation techniques. After the acquisition of the study course students acquire understanding on conflict management and diagnostic methods.

Learning outcomes and their assessment

• Knowledge – students gain knowledge on the basic elements of conflict management, conflict emergence and development at an organization, conflict resolution models, alternative methods and approaches of conflict resolution in the aspect of organization management.
• Skills – students can independently predict the emergence of a conflict at a organization, identify conflict prevention measures, determine the dynamics of conflict development at organization, exploit an employee in the process of motivation and adaptation of internal conflicts, determine the effect of managing constructive and destructive conflicts of employees, and choose techniques and methods of conflict resolution.
• Competence – students can independently predict the development of a conflict, formulate and critically analyse causes and motives of a conflict at an enterprise, justify their decisions on applying a conflict resolution strategy, and present their comprehension about and responsibility for a conflict
