Course abstract

In the study course skills and competences in calculations of operational characteristics of power vehicles as well as in obtaining of experimental parameters are acquired. The obtained knowledge can be used in the practical work of experts analysing the power vehicles after accidents as well as evaluating the causes of the accidents.

Learning outcomes and their assessment

Knowledge - The students acquire the power vehicle theory principles necessary for practical work in relation to road adherence, dynamics, braking and stability parameters, understand the essence of these principles and main correlations.
skills - Based on analytical approach and analysis the students can carry out practical tasks for analysis of the situation after power vehicle accidents and determine the main motion and stability characteristics and parameters before accidents.
competence - Can skillfully formulate the power vehicle exploitation characteristics that are related to traffic safety, professionally select the necessary information and explain the reasons of defects.
