Course abstract

Learning the course "Politics in Modern World", the student will gain understanding of the nature of politics of Latvia and international politics, policy implementation process characteristics in different regions, the functioning of the political regimes in different countries and will gain a view of the global problems around the world.

Learning outcomes and their assessment

1. Knowledge - the preconditions for the formation of international policy and the current situation in the world.
2. Skills - to analyze the structure of the politics in the Latvia and international scale, it's subjects and forms of the power expression, also the political ideologies in the context of international politics and to digest the questions about expressions of the trouble in the world context.
3. Competence – on the basis of acquired knowledge and skills can to engage in a discussion about different political situations in the world, also to create and to substantiate the opinion about political processes in the Latvia and around the world. Stude
