Course abstract

Course of study contributes to knowledge acquisition and promotes it’s practical usage for working out methodology for particular topics. During course students study more detail in the national education standards in home economics and technology and informatics; the realization of the necessary methodological and technical support, recommended methodological materials and teaching aids. Exercises, tests and handouts are prepared. Students work out full methodology for two lessons of home economics -technology and two lessons of informatics.

Learning outcomes and their assessment

• Knowledge - able to: understand the theories of home economics (HE) and Informatics (IT) and usage them in practice; discuss and explain preparation process of lessons, teaching methods and evaluation of the students works.
• Skills - able to: analyse and assess theories of methodology and choose the most appropriate for HE and IT training process, evaluate and choose the most appropriate teaching methods and textbooks.
• Competence - able to: navigate the HE and technology and IT program development and assessment, draw up the thematic plan of year and the thematic schedule; plan and prepare HE and technology and IT lessons; produce visual materials and tests.
