Course abstract

Teaching practice in Wood Products Manufacturing 2 will provide introduction to the value added wood products manufacturing sector based on extensive experiences in the plant and the wood shop. Practice will focus on the current manufacturing techniques, technology and a products ready for the marketplace.

Learning outcomes and their assessment

After the practice students are able to:
evaluate recent high technology manufacturing plant upgrades in the local community, explain the free enterprise system in relation to the global wood products industry.
